The Seer

Original

32 inches wide x 30 inches high

Colored Pencil & Ink on 300 LB Cotton Watercolor Paper

The fine line work is ink and the colored parts are colored pencil. The white background is colored pencil. This took 3 months of full-time work to complete.

"The Seer" is about the vision quest, shamanic journey, or any other experience of having visions or 'seeing'. The center is the seer. People wear many masks and so does the seer. The seer connects to visions in many ways. What the seer sees varies between experiences. The outer edge is a variety of visions.

The vision quest is a rite of passage in some Native American cultures. Catholics, Buddhists, and most religions have a similar practice.

The story continues with the personal growth and development often experienced with the vision quest.
